Team Sweden starts the championship hunt with tough offense

The Nordic Championship games 2016 are on this week at the Myyrmäki Urheilupuisto arena, where team Finland, Sweden and Denmark’s U-19 juniorelite, goes against each other. In the opening match, the Finns U-19 juniors crushed the Danish U-19 team 56 – 14.

Today on  friday 21. team Sweden and team Denmark will rattle their helmets, hopefully in clear weather. The Swedish team is  favorite of the match, as expected due to its tough roster  and a wide range of expertise. Our western-neighbors has received high-quality elements around the team, making them even more dangerous. The Finns have reason to follow our neighbors match an eye on, as the lions face team Sweden on Saturday.

Danish headcoach Lars Carlsen had plenty to think about after Thursday's opening match.

- We must strive to play more as a team, the second half of the openig game was a lot better from us. We need to bring the same battle-elements against team Sweden.

Key questions for today's game are the condition of the Danish defense and how fast can the Danish offense get back into rythm.
