Team Finland and team Denmark open the Nordic Championships games 2016

Kick off at 6 pm The Nordic Championship games 2016 starts this week at the Myyrmäki Urheilupuisto arena, where team Finland, Sweden and Denmark’s U-19 juniorelite, goes against each other. Opening day on Thursday October 20, Finland U-19 juniors will face the Danish Jutes. Team Finland opens the tournament against team Denmark at 18:00 pm and it is expected to be an extremely entertaining matchup. The Danish team's technical expertise is put to the test, when the Finnish junior lions try to take the Nordic Championships opener win. With plenty of self-confidence, the Finnish team is prepared for the upcoming tournament carefully and the aim is to win the U-19 Nordic Championship. Team Finland U-19 headcoach Tero Virtanen knows exactly what the lion teams strengths are. – Our strength is that almost all our players have somekind of national team experience. In addition, we have the right kind of men for critical places. Denmark travels with a young team to the tournament and The Jutes headcoach Lars Carlsen points out, even if the team is young, The Danish team should not be underestimated. – This year we have a young team in the Nordic Championships, but we also have players with the national team experience. Although the team is inexperienced, we are able to balanced it and play fast offensive. Headcoach Carlsen mentions that wide receiver-duo Nicholas Kaplan and Thomas Ashworth, will bring important experience to the Danish teams offensive game.
